My name is John F. Probst, I am an I.B.E.W. Journeyman Linemen, with over 25 yrs. in the trade, and I still enjoy being in my tools. This tool was developed, designed and tested in the field by linemen, to reach it’s present day design and materials.

We have been working with ACSS Conductors for over 20 yrs. now and it has been a constant battle to work with. We’ve contacted many suppliers and manufacturers over the years to find ways to ease or eliminate (in particular) the birdcaging of the wire while pressing Dead-Ends and Sleeves and no one has had any workable ideas or solutions.

The goal from inception to completion has been to develop a tool and a process to fix and/or eliminate this constant battle. We have done lots of real world testing to hone our product and our process, and believe we have developed the perfect solution.

As the new Sole Owner of the Wire-Boss, I sincerely apologize for the disruption in customer service over the past 24 months. It is my mission to restore the integrity and customer confidence that we previously held. I have always held to the idea that “When a customer needs this tool, They need it Now!”, and there is nothing else on the market like it. It simply works.
